OUR SCHOOL OF THE WEEK! LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL WINTERIM WEEK!

Winterim is: A unique, innovative educational experience outside of the traditional curriculum.  Students acquire new knowledge, expand learning beyond the classroom, and explore interests.  The Winterim term is one week between the first and second semesters immediately following the Christmas break.  Students will choose their unique pursuit of interest from offerings by the Lutheran High Faculty.  All students get to participate in a course.

Winterim is: Fun.  Because it is only one week long, it’s not really like a regular class.  Each teacher selects a topic for the week and designs each day with activities, experiments, field trips, and other media to explore the topic.  Each student gets to pick which course they would like to explore.
