Music - St. John Lutheran Plymouth
St. John Lutheran School provides a quality, standards-based music curriculum for all students. Students receive age appropriate, developmental music instruction weekly. Children are given the opportunity to sing, dance, play instruments, and learn the fundamentals of music.
In addition to classroom music instruction, our students can choose to be involved in several music performance groups such as...
Band: Students in grades 5-8 can join the Sheboygan Area Lutheran Schools (SALSA) Band Program. For an additional fee, interested students receive one mass rehearsal each week after school and one individual lesson each week during school hours.
Hallelujah Singers: Students in grades 4-5 can join this choir that practices weekly after school and performs at various times and places throughout the school year.
Gospel Light Chorus: Students in grades 6-8 can try-out for SJL's premier performance choir. They practice during the school day and perform at various times and places throughout the school year. This group also goes on an annual choir tour in the spring.
Handbell Choir: Students in grades 6-8 can join the handbell choir. This group practices during the school day and performs at various times during the school year, usually as a part of our weekly chapel service.
